Can I ask what this is?

Thank you so much if you can donate. And to multiply the impact even further, please spread this ask with everyone you know who cares about the climate. We at Possible - and the planet - will be incredibly grateful.

But we simply can’t do it without the help of our supporters new and old. We are so grateful for every pound we receive - and the beauty of the Big Give’s doubling is that each donation goes so much further.

Yes, we can find ways to create warm, affordable homes powered by clean energy if we work together as communities. And yes, we can shift away from endless consumerism and waste by making repair and reuse a normal part of our lives.

Yes, we can shift people out of their cars if we’re creating cities which prioritise space for people and nature. Yes, we can reduce demand for flying if we find a fair way to tax the most frequent flyers while making it easier to get on holiday by rail.

Instead, our work at Possible creates positive, practical climate optimism, by demonstrating how the shifts to low-carbon behaviours can be brought about at scale - by making them fair, affordable and desirable.

Fear from the powerful that they'll lose what they have by creating a fairer, greneer world. As a result, they spread anxiety that by making the changes we know we need to bring about a zero carbon economy, life will get even harder than it already is for so many of us.

In the UK, and globally, it’s a difficult time to be at the vanguard of climate action. The movement to protect our the planet we all share is under attack like never before. And in my view, what underlies these attacks is ultimately fear.

Yes - after Cameron flirted with questioning GDP in 2010, it was a weird moment when Farage became the torch bearer in 2016 - he said:

'We shouldn't measure everything in terms of GDP figures or economics", he said. "There is something called quality of life." '
