Maybe, politics is weird. But speaking as a relative normie, this last month has been eye opening.

On the point about caving. Did it ever feel like the Rs were going to cave tho? They’re deeply unpopular and don’t care about people. What incentive did they have to not just keep going indefinitely.

Someone once said, you can’t negotiate with.. you can’t negotiate with.. ah, what was that saying..

The path is infinitely clearer, and the stakes much more understood, than they were a month ago. That’s the win.

Probably should’ve held out longer. Very sloppy and disconnected exit. But mask undeniably off.

They went to battle over providing SNAP benefits. They refused to extend credits for affordable healthcare. And they persisted for 40 days and would’ve continued for longer.
