Okay, so now I need to talk to my friends and neighbors even though our existence and resistance are meaningless. Thanks, you’ve solved politics!

You don’t even know what neoliberalism is. It’s not about which state when to whom. It’s the political and economic philosophy under which the US functions. Universal medical care, is, for example, is socialist, while private healthcare is neoliberal

Also, my neighbors, friends, and family voted for Harris. As did most of my coworkers. As did most of the county where I live. In Texas. Get bent
February 3, 2025 at 11:46 PM
I’m not going to continue to argue with someone so insistent on learning nothing. Have fun reaping all the great benefits of this neoliberal country
February 3, 2025 at 11:46 PM
Answer his question! What is doing nothing achieving? You do realize that most dictatorships are brought down by *gasp* illegal action, right?
February 3, 2025 at 11:37 PM
Here’s a visual aid, since you apparently don’t know history and think the coasts are home to all progressive politics and activism (done by liberal white people of course)
February 3, 2025 at 11:25 PM
KY was the first state to implement Obamacare, under a Dem governor. Meanwhile, Ohio was one of the first to pass the heartbeat bill. But yes, let’s blame the Trump presidency entirely on the south. No one in the north, west, or Midwest voted for him, and certainly not wealthy white people
February 3, 2025 at 11:21 PM
Again, the south is historically and *still* to this day home to some of the biggest advocates for civil rights. No one in Vermont is fighting for Black people because there are almost none. And I’m a leftist, liberalism is why we have a useless Democratic Party
February 3, 2025 at 11:19 PM
Yes, my pride in the civil rights movement, in the SPLC, in the amount of grassroots activism done in the South despite wealth privilege and white privilege, despite being ignored by coastal liberal and told we shouldn’t be part of the country
February 3, 2025 at 7:46 AM
I’m aware that things in the south aren’t great, but dismissing an entire region doesn’t help the people of that region
February 2, 2025 at 8:07 PM
That mentality is completely reductive, not helpful, ignorant, and absolutely not progressive
February 2, 2025 at 7:39 PM
And yet OP is in Seattle and can’t get a therapist. The south is extremely diverse, both in racial makeup and political views, but people that have never been and know nothing about it like to paint it as full of white idiots and nothing more
February 2, 2025 at 7:39 PM
Psychiatrists don’t do talk therapy, and this person is clearly already diagnosed and medicated
February 2, 2025 at 7:37 PM
That’s a wild statement to make when posting something that isn’t real, and even if it were, what a huge fuck-you to people living under authoritarian regimes
February 2, 2025 at 5:41 AM
Assuming this must be in the south is the most backwards thing I’ve heard. I grew up in the south, and when I was on Medicaid I had free access to weekly therapy with a PsyD and a psychiatrist I saw monthly
February 2, 2025 at 5:35 AM
Where did you get this idea from? I’ve never heard of a therapist screening for diagnoses before accepting someone as a client
February 2, 2025 at 5:33 AM
Ah yes, so fuck all the people that had absolutely no power over what their governments decided. By this logic blame Palestinians for voting for Hamas. People with bad leadership deserve to suffer I guess. You’re really awful and clearly unwell
January 30, 2025 at 5:43 AM
I’ve spent three years worrying about the majority of my living family being occupied and living under constant shelling. I know this is hard for a sociopath to understand, but it’s painful to watch people you love go through horrors and be helpless in the face of it.
January 30, 2025 at 5:31 AM
My dad’s entire side of the family is currently living under Russian occupation in Ukraine, and you’re clearly someone with no empathy who desperately lashes out at strangers online. Go to therapy and leave holocaust survivors alone
January 30, 2025 at 5:26 AM
I had family on both sides killed under Stalin and Hitler in Ukraine. My grandfather lived under Nazi occupation as a child, and a few weeks ago he turned 90 under Russian occupation. Should Putin invade France too for its part in WWII?
January 30, 2025 at 5:16 AM
My Ukrainian grandfather fought in the red army, and so did his three brothers. He was the only survivor. He was also Jewish. Stalin and Hitler together killed many Ukrainians, Jewish and non-Jewish alike. So don’t start with some BS about pawning from a survivor of something you can’t even fathom
January 30, 2025 at 5:14 AM
Not the glitching of the hosts or the very obvious CGI of the transformations?
January 30, 2025 at 12:17 AM
She’s a fully functional woman in her fifties, and she hates Trump and the GOP, but she spent years telling me that sunscreen causes cancer. We do not need to infantilize adults who have complete control of all their faculties. This is not about 95 year olds with dementia
January 29, 2025 at 12:53 AM
When I try to talk to my mom about misinformation, she yells at me and hangs up the phone. Not everyone can fix their parents, nor is it our responsibility. They’re adults.
January 29, 2025 at 12:26 AM
Thinking someone doesn’t deserve to exist and making up lies about them being predators is a lot more than “controversial”
