It took me several days to beat the final boss. My best advice is to take breaks every 3-5 attempts. Good luck! The game is so hard but worth it.

I’ve used both, WSL tends to be faster and works pretty well with VS Code. For managing Node versions I recommend nvm, there’s a native Windows version.

If you’re trying to buy a discontinued set, buy it on Bricklink instead! Way more reputable sellers there and great customer service from them, with very reasonable shipping costs.
