“Where’s the FNAF?”

Of course, the mystery is centered around the old, abandoned Fredbear’s Family Diner in Hurricane. Everyone remembers the place, but no one seems to think of it too fondly… it’s like a dark stain on an otherwise normal little town.

…you only have 3 in-game months to solve the mystery. Sounds like plenty of time, but travel time adds up fast. Higher charisma gives you better chances to hitch a ride in a car, but it’s never 100%.

Thankfully, I plan on adding multiple save slots! Use them.

The world map will have a handful of locations. Your home, Hurricane, a small town named Jericho, and some spoilery locations out in the woods and mountains. Important things are far away from each other, and fast travel speeds up time… which wouldn’t be a problem if…

The aesthetic will either be standard pixel art by me, or the aesthetic of Fallout and Factorio where it’s low-res images of 3D models as the sprites/tiles. I’m making it in gamemaker so it depends on how tedious the latter ends up being.

In addition to being accused of murder, youre also stuck having to feed and care for yourself during the coldest winter ever recorded in the western United States. You dont have a job or a car, so you’ll have to walk and buy food using money you find lying around… or money you stole.

The game is largely inspired by Fallout 1, Scav Prototype, and Fear and Hunger. It’s a blend between hardcore survival and RPG, where you’re just a guy holed up in a shack outside of Hurricane, and you stumble into a murder mystery to prove your innocence. (1/?)
