10 hours of Rosette nebula processed in a HOO palette captured with a dual narrowband filter from my backyard. This palette shows off the hydrogen alpha (reds) and oiii (blues and pink in the center) emissions present in the nebula. 58 hours of the Rosette nebula processed in the SHO (Hubble) palette captured with a mono camera and narrowband filters. This palette shows off the emissions from 3 different gases present in the Rosette. Oranges represent hydrogen, yellow (sulfur) and blues (oiii).

NEWS: Hubble detected an unusual star that spins over seven times faster than our sun. Known as a “blue lurker,” it probably got a turbo-boost from the merger of two accompanying stars that fed material onto the star, increasing its rotation speed: bit.ly/3BB3yom #AAS245 🔭 🧪
