I drive around making deliveries
of stuff to people around the
country. I have a lot of time to let
my mind wander. That's rarely a
good thing.
You can definitely have a shot at doing that in the area.

Nice! I'm still looking for my first harlequin.

It's literally like right there. Almost no walking involved.

I heard he's a financial wizard.

They HEAVE that rig out using short, stout rods as far as they can. I'm gonna say *maybe* twenty feet. Then they put the rod in a holder attached to the railing, put a clip-on bell at the end of the rod, then either hang out there or sit in their cars/trucks until the bell starts ringing.

But they should try.

ICE thug goes into a bodega to buy cigarettes. Get's asked for ID by a non-white person and immediately draws and drops to the ground to a prone shooting position.

Side note: the current there is fast enough that special techniques had to be invented to fish from shore there. The basics are that they use 1 to 2 POUND lead sinkers with a long leader of several feet and a crank bait.

Another big freighter heading upstream into Lake Huron as the evening anglers try their luck during the evening walleye bite at Thomas Edison Park.

Well, there ya go!

It is off the beaten path. Like you said, depends what you like. If you like watching Great Lakes freighters going past and having access to a world class walleye fishery you can get to 15 minutes after you get off work, it'd be hard to beat that place.

You can also catch walleye right from shore in mid afternoon. Some people do, anyways.

Do they like it? As a visitor, I really like it, but I have no idea what it would be like to live there.
