Looking after mum while dads in hospital to remove a part of his kidney due to cancer. Mum had a big stroke 3 yrs ago, I’m shattered and only been here 2 days. Mind you have full blown bronchitis so everything is a struggle. But having fun just chilling even if she keeps finding me tasks to do

Wow a third chesty thing since October, floored again! Coughed so hard my stomach muscles feel like I’ve hit the gym 🤣 and everything else aches. Fed up with this crap.
Manage and live with crohns daily and just get on with stuff. A chesty thing and I’m all done in!

Question for anyone who has had a pan-proctocolectomy : when I bend over or sit funny, my abdomen can go into spasm and feels like stuff is sticking together inside, takes an age to shift, and only if I lie flat and relax. Is is adhesions?

Have been really poorly this week, so much so that I took sick days off, it’s a hard decision when you work from home but figured, if I had an office to go to would I go in? No. So why feel I have to struggle on and work from home?

Full of cold again, it’s those work trips to London what does it, rubbish nights sleep, brain would not shut off and I’m off to hospital with dad for an urgent appointment for him, not looking forward to it but I will remain strong for him.

Whilst I enjoy going into London from Suffolk coast to see work colleagues what I don’t like is how I never eat properly or keep my fluids up and then spend the last part of journey home feeling dehydrated and sick. I need to accept that I may need to a later train and stop and fuel myself

What I learned yesterday is : if you are struggling and there is a solution that’s readily available to you and all it takes is to speak up, frankly, SPEAK UP
I did and now I feel so much better and able to focus where I’m really needed
