FINALLY found my old picture! Bought the mask (likely from K-Mart), and my mom did the rest. She made the cape, and sewed a handmade Batman emblem on the cape and one of my existing shirts. (bonus fact: I later had her sew a Superman emblem on the reverse side, so I could flip it around as needed)

One day when I was about 10 and my brother about 8, our mom surprised us with two GI Joes from the store. She gave my brother Croc Master, and me Raptor. She picked them for us "cause the each had a little animal friend" and I laughed so hard but looking back it's so her to view the world that way.

Finished this amazing book, Midnight in Chernobyl by Adam Higginbotham. Chernobyl is one of my oldest interests and after watching tons of videos, movies, etc it was great to read a solid, factual book without any hype or clickbait. Highly recommended! #books #Chernobyl #authors
