I do the same thing...and yes everything is so expensive here, also. I make almost everything from scratch...always have. Foraging helps.

Couldn't sleep, so I baked a cinnamon swirl loaf of bread at 3:30 am. My kitchen smells yummy! I just had to try making carmel sauce. Holy shite, who knew cane sugar did this! Yummy. Topped the cinnamon loaf with this gooey goodness.
