oh i’m sure but everyone i ever interacted with was annoying about it whether they were also a musician or just a hardcore classical or jazz appreciator 😭 i was too classical for jazz circles and too jazzy for classical circles

primarily piano! i’m also proficient on bass, guitar, and all percussion except drum kit; competent on saxophone and all brass except tuba and french horn (i was originally a music education major)

you both might find this interesting: i have both classical and jazz training but spent most of my time on the classical side playing ragtime. i constantly got shit on by all my classical acquaintances for that choice bc many people consider it to be low brow/not “real” classical music 😭
