Hope everyone had a great holiday!

Spent the day cooking, eating, and indulging in homemade eggnog. Somehow, I returned, so my goal before the new year is to finish KCD2 once and for all. A lofty goal, but, on an unrelated note, half of my company is offline next week.

Finally went back to Persona 3 Reload recently; I started it up in February but have been taking my time with it.

I first played FES in, what, 2010, so I was pretty interested in seeing how P3R changed up things.

This was quite the surprise for me!

Finished 魔法少女ノ魔女裁判 recently.

I didn't know anything about it until I happened to come across it on Steam recently, but it appears to have been a Kickstarter funded game from early last year? They made good time on it!

Gotta love itemizing my purchases with explicit dollar amounts only to get waved past by customs in both countries

Happen to find myself in Japan for the first time now and, even though it has barely been 24 hours, it feels like I've done several days' worth of things today with time to spare

Playing Yumia when I come across a cliff

My first instinct is of course to try to scale it by repeatedly jumping against it, and I just about succeed only to be told that I hit the edge of the map

Cue "The Elder Scrolls VI" appearing on the screen

DQ3HD: it was a fun game! I didn't know much going in, but overall I had a nice time with the game. I was already a fan of DQ, but I found this game easy to get into.

Exploration with the ship was fun, but, funnily enough, the flying vehicle you get is one of the slowest I've ever seen in a JRPG.

Let me start off with my final verdict on Kai:

What should've been a perfectly good game is instead marred by pacing issues and questionable writing decisions, leading to a frustrating experience because you get glimpses of what could've been.

Finished both Kai no Kiseki (finally) and DQ3HD! In typical fashion, I stopped like 3 hours from the end of Kai to play DQ3 instead, but we all take our own paths in life

I have big thoughts about Kai, but will make separate threads for both

2024 started off strong, but ended up not having much happening for me, so I'm definitely looking to change that this year

With the recent release of DQ3, here's something else to check out: a RPGmaker remake of DQ1 in the works for a decade that adds more content and some QoL features, including a post game in the style of DQ9 with randomly-generated worlds.

Playing Kai no kiseki on and off at the moment, and it really is kind of a frustrating game because I get a very strong impression that they had to pull content to use in kuro 2 when they had to rush development on that game (as it's my understanding that ys 10 was delayed a year)

I haven't been on Twitter much for quite a long time, but I saw that a lot of people were starting to move over here and decided to check it out.
