Although I'm not sure where I stand on digital ID cards I do think it's ridiculous there is no free way for people to procure an identity document. They should just make it free to get a provisional driving licence if the public don't want any major changes.

But as soon as you suggest it people (who don't live there) are suddenly extremely concerned about grannies needing new boilers, people in wheelchairs who need taxis and businesses needing deliveries. Despite these all having solutions!
