I sometimes get in trouble when I using idioms in English as a non-native English speaker. My idioms got into meaning that I’m not expected which means in the very bad meanings 

Individual contributor is a mess wording of a title. I've never seen a work for individual contributors which is down by individually. You need to collaborate with other members even if you are individual contributor
