Went to Spirit recently and they're flogging the new Pennywise, Art, Sam, Wednesday, Billy the puppet, Annabelle...but marketed outside of the films, they bc iconic/archetypal. Jack + Sally are the new Dracula + Mina, and the kids are fine w it.

I think 'rap metal' for RATM (and bits of FnM) still kinda works as the aesthetics of the band are pretty different from what nu metal enforced.
It's like Van Halen and hair metal, though there's more similarities there...mostly cocaine.

One long scene where a home invasion leads to SA only to be revealed as 'play' btw characters later.
Other sex is implied as forced/coerced - so not Last House gross but still cumulates into ick for me.
Imo it fails as a slasher and as a giallo - the kills aren't good enough to excuse the rest.
