J1407b also known as a Super-Saturn. Possibly a brown dwarf with a massive ring system with planets forming in it. Now, latest updates on this object suggest that it is not tied to any star and most likely is not illuminated like this. But who knows, maybe somewhere there is a system like this.

I based this on one of these Hot Jupiter atmosphere simulations. I'm not sure if it was of a Puffball Planet as there was no mention of it. Thank you!

My interpretation of Vesta's south pole impact that formed Rheasilvia crater. Before impact older Veneneia crater can be seen.

My interpretation of a Hot Jupiter planet. I looked up some info on Hot Jupiter atmospheric dynamics and this is my best guess what this type of a planet might look like.

Yes! There is still some wiggle space in planetary environments for us to explore. I am working on another picture featuring a massive gas giant and it's habitable moon. I'm not sure when I will be able to finish it though.

I too believe that ocean/atmospheric currents would be able to transfer some of the day side warmth into a night side creating somewhat even temperatures. Maybe this planet could be at the outer edge of it's star's habitable zone only having enough warmth to melt ice in the center of it's dayside.

It's a hypothesized type of a planet that due to it being tidally locked the effects of that might result in a planet with an ice free portion of a planet facing it's star while glacial sheet of ice creeps from the night side creating this Eyeball in space effect.

Also some red dwarf stars flare up in their poles instead of equator thus sparing the planets from the worst of the flare effects. As of now we just don't know. In the end I just wanted to paint an eyeball planet. I just think they are very cool. I do not know if any of them exist, I hope they do.

All that is still not set in stone. I have read many opposing research results regarding red dwarf planets. Some state that all these planets would be airless rocks while other researchers argue that magnetic field can still be generated in a tidally locked planets.

But but it's so pretty out there...

I painted it in Photoshop.
It's pure drawing. I gave up on textures long time ago.
Somehow it's easier to just paint it with a couple of brushes instead. Thank you!

I keep revisiting Triton, Neptune's largest moon.

Jupiter's powerful lightning storms most likely generate lots of transient luminous events.
In this scene, during the early morning hour, as the rising sun lights up the top of a massive thunderstorm a lightning strike generates a gigantic jet, shooting high up in the atmosphere.

Thank you so much! I truly appreciate it.

Old painting of Jupiter's atmosphere. Two of it's moons, Io and Ganymede, are visible in the sky.

I did a little bit more research on Jupiter's transient luminous events. This is my attempt to portray one of these events. So, here it is, Jupiter sprites.

Thank you! Glad you liked it!

This panorama is it. Link to here would be fine :)

#Jupiter's closest moon Metis emerges from the planet's shadow. Rings as well as two Jovian moons can be seen. Io with it's volcanic plumes, sulfur halo and aurora. Europa with hypothesized water ice geysers erupting from it's polar region. Bright blue star in the background is Earth.
