Ozuna popped a 150 wrc+ from 23-24 and then tore a hip and still had a 114 wrc+. The dude is probably gonna wrc+ like 120-130. Idk how you do better than that for 12 mil.

And even if his decline was caused 100 percent by age and 0 by the hip (I think we can blame the hip like 80 pct), hes still probably one of the best hitters on the team and is probably some of the best hitting that 12 million can buy. Projections prefer his hitting to Suarez for example.

Even if his bat speed was down in April, he still mashed to a 402 woba and .425 xwoba in April.
His April 2024 gave a .436 woba and .463 xwoba.
So his 2024 self kinda has some bat speed and productivity to spare.

I like the A's call! Hadn't considered them. Sox seem determined to deal for 2b instead. Dipoto basically said its not happening a few days ago. And I have a hard time seeing the Pirates paying up.
