The ronin seized the oppurtunity and launched himself towards Kisho. The blade, held horizontally, both his hands upon it's hilt, assured of his opponent's death.

Kisho raised his tetsubo.

With a piercing crack the tetsubo -the only gift received from his estranged father- shattered.
