Absolutely. Give Harvard appreciation, let them know they've done the right thing, reinforce the decision to stand up and speak out, but their endowment is all the financial reinforcement they need. $10,000 to Harvard is couch change. $10,000 to a small non-profit is life-changing. Be life changing.

But THEN - Gordon Lightfoot wrote that long rambling song about it, people liked the song, and the rest is history. 🚢

Second part of the story - they did their normal jobs (his squadron hunted submarines during the Cold War) and didn’t think much of it. They saw the news the next day and read the same story everyone else did. It was a tragedy but nothing too historic (i.e. the Titanic)…..

Fun fact - my dad was the guy who found that shipwreck. His squadron was called out when it sank and they located it on radar and called it in. ✈️
