Finished my first, somewhat rushed playthrough of Artis Impact - in which i broke a lifelong RPG habit and actually went in fully blind, instead of planning out a route.
I missed about 50% of the sidequests and I am, in fact, alive, which is good for my mental health.
Also the game is very good.

I mean he's probably still *good*, the guy's a 7-time world champion and all, but rumors of Ferrari just giving up on the guy after a poor season in favor of a rookie don't inspire confidence. Especially since said rookie will probably do just as bad, given Ferrari's biggest problem is Ferrari.

Unfortunately, i think Splinter Cell suffered from the same problem as Halo: the series reached its apex on the 3rd entry and all the freaks on the team either stopped working on it or had a lot more oversight from people who don't get what "cool" is. The result? White Bread Bourneclones.

Finished Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, but Steam didn't let me take my usual artsy screenshots so this is all you get.
I'm convinced that this game ended up being as artful as it did as an oversight. Some exec looked away for a moment and suddenly the team had made a perfect cultural artifact.

Addendum: if you expect WotC to be nice to you after learning they habitually hire kneebreakers to retrieve pricy cardboard and that one time they tried to take away your right to homebrew the game, you are stupid.
