19 June 1942 | Germans shot a Polish prisoner Klemens Kaczorowski in the courtyard of Block 11 in #Auschwitz I. He was a farmer, social activist & member of the Polish Parliament (4th & 5th term).

Imprisoned in Auschwitz on 15 December 1940 (transferred from Dachau). No. 6940.

Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. It did not start from gas chambers.

This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

Auschwitz took time.
