Agents just took a young woman, early 20s. She was with her attorney.
Agents took her, crying, into a side room to separate her from her attorney. When the attorney tried to speak with her from the hallway, agents told her she was “interfering with law enforcement.”

Americans DRAMATICALLY overestimate the size of the immigrant and Hispanic/Latino populations, and this almost certainly feeds into (and is fueled by) fearmongering. All of this prevents us from having an informed and civil conversation about immigration policy.
