I must correct myself. Rise of Mamdani is vox populi, it's protest not only to MAGA madness but also against the Democratic party establishment.
Rise of Mamdani, who's marked with too many black marks and who's existence in politics was unimaginable two years ago, is illustration of a simple process - when one party breaks red lines, they stop existing for all. When one party moves right, the only natural response is that opponents move left

You're intelligent person. That means, you don't get frustrated, disappointed or dissatisfied. Because all of that comes from expectations and beliefs.
And if reality contradicts your expectations, you welcome that with acceptance - Oh, okay. That's interesting.

That was my assessment immediately after Trump was elected. Because he was elected. Because half of Americans found that a good idea. Moe than half of Americans don't want the current social contract anymore. And Democrats did not event try to think about changes.
7/ Right now, I assess our chances of stopping Trump from ending democracy semi-permanently or permanently at <20%. Why? The courts have already made clear that, at least at the highest level, they cannot and will not do their jobs. Congress has literally given its gavel over. Trump has the USAF.
