Make sure your stranding/tension is loose enough above the heel to get your foot in! Getting it right might take practice so don’t get discouraged. All knitting is good knitting and your socks are beautiful!

You could try tensioning differently when you purl, a different ‘style’ of purl. Always a favorite….use a larger needle for purling. If you are using interchangeable needles you can put what works for knitting on one end and what you need for purling on the other end. Hope this helps.
