Passive Nightmare, who was the right half of his skull shattered, is looking up at something with furrowed eyebrows. He's holding a blue string with a hand that leads him somewhere out of frame. Passive is looking at a closet in the dark among other boxes and stored stuff. On top of it there's a small picture frame that grabs his attention. The picture frame shows a happy Error holding a blushing corrupted Nightmare's hand. They're somewhere with trees, and on the left higher corner of the picture it's written in black marker "We did it!" Below the picture, Night calls "Mister Error..." Error is gritting his teeth and a single tear is slipping down his cheek. His eyesockets can't be seen. Below the picture, Night asks: "Who is the one in the photograph?"

I read Ehawe's story "Flowers Need Love to Grow" a while ago and happy Nightmare has lived rent-free in my head ever since.

Nightmare is holding Dream to his chest, they are both crying as he realizes what his brother asked. Nightmare burrows his face and hugs Dream tighter. Nightmare and Dream are kneeling on the ground hugging each other. Cross is a few meters away, looking at them with empty sockets. Nightmare: Because I didn't think anyone could survive eating the apples.
