📣 Today, at the Court of Session in Edinburgh, the Prison Service admitted Allan’s death was caused by unnecessary and excessive restraint, violating his right to life under Article 2 of the ECHR.

🧭 The Lord Advocate (Crown Office) and Police Scotland also admitted failing to carry out an adequate investigation, including granting prison officers an amnesty that blocked criminal charges - a breach of human rights law.

📅 Two years ago, the long residence rule for tuition was removed.

🔓 Tuition fee support was also extended to children seeking asylum - both unaccompanied children and children of asylum seekers. This went beyond what was considered in court.
