Based in Renfrew-shire, Visiting Angelz provides care in the community for adults of all ages, allowing people to stay happy and well at home. “Watching them go through the good and the bad – we are by their side through it all. We’re their support system” Kirsty, Care and Support Worker Visiting Angelz are a Living Wage employer, as well as being one of only a handful of social care services in Scotland who are an accredited Living Hours employer. MSPs of all parties have made a promise to the children of Scotland, by setting down targets to massively reduce the injustice of child poverty. By 2030 there should be no more than 10% of Scotland's children in relative poverty. But in 2025 the poverty rate among children was still a shocking 24%.

However, this must be a first step towards boosting that payment to £40 for every eligible child in the country. That is the kind of fundamental investment the Government needs to make if they are serious about meeting the 2030 child poverty targets. “With Scotland not on track to meet those legally binding targets, we need all political parties to set out their plans to invest in country where no child lives in poverty.
