rn it just seems to reinforce deltarunes themes of hoplessness and lack of choice. so its likely just to make for an impactful opening

However, the game does force you to make a vessel the first time you play. so maybe itll default to that, or make a failsafe vessel which seems unlikely but not impossible. there might be a chance that in order to get the best ending you need to carry your data from chapter 1 to 7 but im not toby

i kinda hope so but honestly i think its unlikely. when you start a file in chapter 2-4 it only asks for your name, not for a vessel. and it doesnt seem like it records your vessel anywhere in the code as far as im aware.
