Oh, whereas I quite like IMAX because it lets me see the whole shot and composition. Dune, Oppenheimer, Nosferatu, they all had shots that fully utilised the IMAX aspect ratio and must surely be missing something in other releases. Unless IMAX is the one that gets cropped?

think of OSR games less like symphonies and more like blues. 12-bar-blues is a pretty tight framework for music, right? Get that down pat and you can riff on it and play with it basically forever, and its all still the blues. It's a wonderful basis for improvisation and reimagining.
