The Untamed is a 2016 Mexican horror film about a tentacle extraterrestrial that lands in a barn outside of a small town that gives some of its residence unfathomable pleasure. But that story is all background. Because we are introduced to the character, Ale, who is married to Àngel and they have two kids. Unfortunately, for Ale, her spouse is neglectful and abusive and sleeping with HER BROTHER, Fabián! But when Fabian is found nearly dead in a riverbed, Ale begins to unveil the truth about her husband and her brother and soon will come into contact with something pleasurably devious and out of this world! Review: This movie plays out more of a drama than anything else, but it definitely has some cosmic horror and hentai inspiration and elements . The overall atmosphere is dreadfully depressing and the themes of marriage, motherhood & the routines of said roles are depicted as extremely heavy in a search of breaking free and forming sexual identity and liberty from patriarchal oppressors. Series 7: The Contenders is such a gritty and raw thriller! It’s currently only streaming on YouTube. Definitely worth a watch! Plot: Filmed as a faux reality show that takes place in the near future where reality tv has gone to extremes, six strangers are randomly chose via lottery to hunt each other down until one person is left, winning The Contenders.
