Whilst watching a Lesser Yellowlegs at Etton Pits in Cambridgeshire yesterday afternoon (found by Hugh Wright), this Grey Phalarope dropped in. Stayed for c10 mins and then disappeared. We were pretty surprised! @cambsbirdclub.bsky.social @weedonsworld.bsky.social @birdguides.bsky.social

This Spoonbill was ringed in Denmark as a chick unable to fly, on June 10, 2023, in the Ringkøbing Fjord area, along Denmark’s west coast. Subsequently, it's been seen wintering in Cornwall, at Cowbit Washes last year and at @rspbframptonmarsh.bsky.social, where I saw it back in June.
