2/ ensuing rift.

In fact, in 2019 (pre-pandemic!), I wrote my own thanksgiving essay about MAGA, for a private group; it became the 1st piece there that folks convinced me to "take public." 6 yrs. later, I'd edit it down a bunch, but I still stand by what I said.

Last year, this woman was apparently surprised when she got a family blowback to an essay she wrote about canceling the holidays b/c of her MAGA in-laws.

I'm not sure what she thought would happen, but I would not have worked as hard as she to rectify the...

It seems that the Eagles are allowing Mahomes/Chiefs to save face with some 4th quarter points. That's nice. But let's all make sure to remember: the Chiefs got their tails kocked today and still no team has won three straight super bowls.

It says something that I'm more excited about spring training in 10 days than I am about the Super bowl. As a Patriots fan, I should be frothing at the mouth for the Eagles to win, but I'm just having trouble getting up fir the game.

It turns out the only thing I can count on in this world is my cat. He is completely dependable. If I want a snuggle, he's up for it. Play time? You bet. He let's me know when it's time for dinner. He is without surprises and that's all I want in a relationship.

Super Bowl is four days away and I can't...care less. Usually, I'm up for the big game, but this year is different.
As much as I love Kelce (I think he's spiffy), I really have a hard time getting behind Mahomes.
I like Saquon, but have a sour taste for the Eagles as a franchise. So, not excited.

The pro bowl is a sad shadow of what it once was. It's very sad

🧵 My opinions/suggestions re: gov. web pages being down:

🔺️ Yes, sites/pages of sites are being taken down.

🔺️ But not all sites that ppl report on 🦋 as down necessarily are. For ex., I've been able to access multiple sites that ppl reported as down, using slightly different paths to get there, even

So the Saints are the last team without a head coach. Not a real desirable place to go. Who do you think?

WTF, why aren't the Red Sox spending any money? They promised me that they'd spend money. Can we please do something, anything to bolster their line up?

Rooting for the Eagles all the way.

I can't wait for tomorrow. Two great games on tap. I don't really have a dog in the race, so I'm just rooting for two exciting games.

Jabrill Peppers, and by extention the Patriots, got good news today. It took the jury, mostly made up of women, one hour to acquit him.

I'm totally ready for Spring Training. Can't wait for pitchers and catchers to report. It is a beacon of hope in a long dark and lonely winter.
It's the best time of the year, full of hope

@patspulpit.bsky.social As the coaching staff comes into alignment, I'm wondering if all the lower level assistants will be TN retreads.

Congratulations to Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders. That was quite an upset! Now, are they going to face the Rams or the Eagles? I'm hoping for Philadelphia, to make it a division match up.

Looking forward to Bill's vs. Ravens. My guess is that Jackson takes over and leads the Ravens to an upset victory. If they do, I'm really counting on them to stop the Chiefs from three in a row.
