On the point of authenticity, I’m not sure she has earned the right to be granted the benefit of the doubt. I’m not saying it’s not possible. But at least in my book she’s not there yet.

You’re the best source of information there is on the California budget process, but I’ve always been frustrated by your insistence about its transparency. The sad fact of the matter is that it is far less transparent today than it was even ten years ago, even with the 72 hour requirement.
