While I don’t think it’s a pay-op or anything, I do think it is a byproduct of capitalism and fascism forcing you to get angry at what you say and just “take care of yourself” in other words, just endure and persevere by yourself.

When we SHOULD BE getting angry and violent TOGETHER.

Not only because of its individualistic bent, where “every man is an island” and you should be this stoic being in control of emotions.

But also the idea that you shouldn’t be getting mad and upset about things.

And there’s a lot in this world to get mad and upset about.

One of the best days in elementary school was when we broke out in groups of four and got to build a tiny little model steam engine

Like if you define cinema any narrower than “sounds and images over time” you’re already losing me.
