In addition the 1951 Defense of Greenland Agreement between the U.S. and Denmark explicitly acknowledges Denmark's sovereignty over Greenland. A 2004 amendment further affirming Greenland as an equal part of the Kingdom of Denmark.

The advantage of the passive voice is you don't have to know who or what the subject should be if one used the active voice, or commit to it. The passive voice conceals what you don't know, or are too lazy to look it uop.
