I read the article - great job! Let us know when you testify before Congress. By the way, on p. 16, 2nd full ¶, looking at average earnings for previous years of the businesses hurt was how the Deepwater Horizon settlement with BP was structured. That was a tort resolution, not a tax, but it worked.

We're getting a second credit card so we don't have to use our Disney Visa credit card. No Disney or ESPN streaming in place to cancel.

I rode in an elevator at the Oakland Coliseum with Reggie Jackson. This was after his playing career.

By Hawley's logic, the pitchers pitching to Aaron Judge are not using their best stuff because Judge is hitting almost .400. Let's investigate the pitchers.

Can't say I've read every Supreme Court decision or dissent, but Justice Kagan may be the first to use the word "nifty" (bottom of page 5). She's a great writer and, of course, her argument is correct.

William A. Burck and Robert K. Hur are solid Republicans. Will DJT now go after both of these law firms?

My g-g-grandfather James Angove helped to rescue fugitive slave Joshua Glover in 1854 Wisconsin. The Underground Railroad took Glover to Canada where he lived the rest of his life. I am grateful for my g-g-grandfather's courage and hope I can follow his example.

A Unitarian-Universalist flies the pride flag as part of their religious belief. That's just one winning legal challenge.

If attacked, the US can defend itself without a declaration of war. I wonder if the US military would obey an order to attack an ally absent a formal declaration of war from Congress.

Perkins Coie is a great firm. If I were not retired and still had my in-house attorney position, I'd be inclined to push some business to Perkins Coie to show my support.

Happy to hear you’re OK. It’s scary. Happened to me years ago & I was doing nothing. I was already under care of an ophthalmologist at an academic hospital for another eye issue (thanks to referral from NIH) and got my torn retina repaired the next day. No problems in the decades since.

As much as I would like to see a fire-breathing Democrat take on Trumpism, would it be better to have a platform based on rule of law, being a reliable international partner, and preservation of Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid? This could bring moderates and a few Republicans to our side.

Rule of law = economic prosperity. I'm waiting for the business community to rise up. It would be in their self interest.

If any school could do without federal funds, it's BYU. If religious freedom keeps a court from inquiring into tithing, how a religious school decides to teach its students should also be a matter of religious freedom. "Do what is right; let the consequence follow." (Not holding my breath.)
