Week 2 and a traumatic evening with the vet. We had a little incident between Ares and a very bored and jealous Rico. I don’t know why birds go for the toes… Thankfully we already had a new patient appointment scheduled with the vet. Ares is fine and looking forward to the results of his bloodwork!

RIP my little princess
Welcoming this gentleman to the flock. He is a 33 year old African Grey with a heartbreaking story. For 30 years he’s lived in a small cage and used for breeding. Nobody even gave him a name. His only human interaction was at feeding and cleaning. Today I brought him home to be loved.
