I don't really understand where the prioritization of Hopkins arises. It is not on the 2022 pavement management plan, east of Gilman. There are dozens of blocks with worse PCI and major bus lines that we should do first, like Telegraph from Dwight to Ward.

Hopkins isn't being "saved" on behalf of the people who live on Hopkins, it's being "saved" for the people who live on the 95000 block of Way Up A Mountain Road, who believe it is their right granted by their creator to glide down the road from their home to the liquor store and back, unimpeded.

It's also amazing that these authors tried to causally link higher murder rates with post-George Floyd protests.
