Some highlights from my visit to the VIMS invertebrate collection today! Coolest thing was rare bilateral gynandromorph, a blue crab that's left half is male, right half is female - split right down the middle! Also a giant isopod, giant tube worm, and jellyfish!

Cool aquatic animal of the week - the magnificent bryozoan! It's actually a colony of individual filter-feeders working together to clean freshwater. Apparently has the consistency of Jell-O. Mmmmm grab me a scoop 👅
