One other piece of near post mortem analysis is the struggle at set piece defending this season. #AllForCITY tied for the 4th most goals conceded from set pieces this season with 11. Charlotte and New England were the best with only 5 concessions. Supporters Shield winning Union allowed 6.

#AllForCITY was committed to playing out of the back against Austin over the weekend. Lots of ball responsible and progressive movement in the win. Totland, making his first start since 7/19, was especially effective; he had the most touches, was 4th in completed passes and 2nd in defensive actions.

As the 2025 #AllForCITY comes to a close I find it interesting how narrow the 4-2-3-1 shape has seemed to be when implemented based on average positioning. Also the continued pressing and the impact on xGA. Granted the viz aren't limited by dates.

Also checking on the Wooden Spoon race, DC has already lost and Galaxy are currently trailing Dallas. LA still has an extra game in hand, but with these results getting a point in Austin could be enough for #AllForCITY to avoid the spoon.
