Mediocre photographer, incredible movie watcher.
I like too many things: AEW, movies, music books, comics, retro video games, Bolton Wanderers.
No company is your friend but the ones who made products I liked who now use AI generated imagery in their marketing are making me want to bin everything I own by them and also maybe unplug my router and light myself on fire

I can attest it is rather difficult when you are paid a small amount of money for a short time to create something that makes someone else a half billion dollars
Miles Morales co-creator Sara Pichelli says she does not get any royalties from the ‘Spider-Verse’ films, Insomniac games, or merch

If it was anyone else, it would be obvious Israeli-based Tarantino just hates Paul Dano for donating to Palestine...but he genuinely just says wrong things all the time. Either way, hilariously bad take from a loser who made a couple movies I love.

Sometimes when i say about a band "I don't like their new stuff" apparently I might be talking about music they released 15 years ago

WWE fans think they've got a real GOTCHA moment about influencers on AEW but I've never seen Big Justice filming corpses for YouTube views or crypto-scamming the Boom Community

Brand New were one of my favourite ever bands and I think it's fine if you're listening to them still but anyone giving them money and seeing them live in 2025 should have to get a tattoo that says NONCE LOVER

Crazy how many people I grew up with now use their social media to say things like "you're so gullible you took the vaccine haha anyway here's the mushroom I rub on my teeth every day that 100% prevents cancer"

Slam Dunk Festival's lineup this year is in "so good it's going to be devastating missing half these bands because of clashes" territory

Accepted I spend all my money on band shirts, so wore an old shirt I didn't like to the concert, bought a new shirt, got changed in the toilet and binned the one I arrived in. I'm one of this country's great thinkers.

Refused to download Tik Tok and still got sucked into the Slop Content Machine via Instagram Reels, which is at least a lot easier to ignore now it's filled with AI bullshit. Our slop isn't even made with 100% organic slop anymore.

My #LFF was brief and great. Shout out to the young person sat next to me for Blue Moon, a film I loved, who checked her phone 3 times and when it ended turned to her friend and said "I'm so sorry I didn't know it'd be like that"

Unsurprisingly, I loved Linklater's Nouvelle Vague (2025). It's a funny, stylish, authentic recreation of the movement. It understands what was so important about these people and their films: they were really really cool and full of wit.

Saw Blue Moon at #LFF. So great to see Ethan Hawke successfully stick the landing in such an ambitious performance. The first time Richard Linklater has done one of his patented Just-Talking-Movies since Before Midnight. It's funny, it's heartbreaking, and I can't wait to see it again.

Got tickets to the Blue Moon UK Premiere. Gonna be in the same room as my goat, Richard Linklater. Might cry?
