I just had a thought: since GPT-4 level AI inference is effectively free, how will leading AI providers continue to thrive? Will it be from remembering and using the deepest secrets its users are sharing with its increasingly smart robots? Is there any way that could go wrong?

I want to report this somewhere - I dabble with AI models. Meta (Facebook) has a very capable model (LLaMa) that refuses, on ethical grounds, to create harmful content. Notably, it won't summarize an RSS feed of real 2025 events. This explains the lack of FB posts on real atrocities.

Just thinking I haven't seen one of those crazy angular trucks in the wild in weeks. It seemed for a while those funny looking things were all over the place, and now nothing. Either their owners have parked them or I've been hiding in my house in existential dread for a couple months (maybe both)

If Americans started trading in their jacked up trucks for Teslas because of Trump's endorsement, I would feel so owned. It would just show me so bad; it would totally shove it in my tree-hugging, liberal face.

I sure hope they don't do that.
