The upcoming congressional recess will fall in the middle of GOP efforts to craft a massively unpopular reconciliation bill that guts Medicaid and SNAP programs to fund tax cuts for billionaires. Our goal is to organize hundreds of rallies to turn up the heat on Republicans: indivisible.org/muskorus

Last night I wrote about Abrego Garcia’s case. Today, SCOTUS confirmed it’s true. Even though their stay is just temporary, he remains in cruel & unusual conditions in a foreign prison with no recourse. It could happen to any of us. joycevance.substack.com/p/the-week-a...

What are the odds that enough Supreme Court Justices believe we shouldn't put people in foreign torture prisons without due process & especially when the government misrepresents the evidence it has in briefs it submits to the Court?

Can we stop calling these atrocities "deportations." These people sold to El Salvadorian prisons were not deported. Deportation is a process that did not take place. They were rounded up and removed with no process. They were kidnapped, not deported.

Trump is dismantling democracy right in front of us. He operates on the principle that people will think that if he does it openly and in public, there can't be anything wrong with it. Do not be deceived.

Donald Trump "doesn’t want a military with a conscience,” Paul Rosenzweig writes. “He wants a pliant military that does what he commands rather than what the law requires.” To understand the danger, turn to Shakespeare:
Firing the ‘Conscience’ of the Military
Getting rid of the military’s top lawyers is not exactly a sign that the Trump administration wants to follow the law.
