I enjoy Get Up, but the degree to which they talk Cowboys when they’re not a contender is exhausting and tedious. I give them tomorrow to have their last conversation about them and then they shouldn’t be mentioned again.

I’d much rather they explore the fact that students receiving special education services historically have much worse outcomes despite the accommodations they receive, but that’s not as good of story.
Doesn’t help that the SAT cheating scandal required diagnoses for the cheating to work.

It’s not the whole reason but I do wonder if part of this is “I want to be able to say the most noxiously racist thing in a public setting and have a big strong man to back me up when people react.”

It’s overly simplified I’m sure but I remember being taught in HS AP classes how much the cotton gin reinvigorated slavery which wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t such an integral part of a larger economic system.
