I mean, we could brand it whatever at this point? It's still fresh for a wide amount of people, and since the butterfly is the new bird, we could say "I heard a flitter in the air"

I think given the large variance in paths to take in modern stages, having classic style levels to break the monotony might be refreshing.
Having played the modern stages at PAXaus, they didn't have 2d segments in them at all, so its a straight 50/50 split so far this way!

It was mentioned they'd keep it in line with the original gens level structure for consistency, so its not a huge surprise to me tbh!

Sometimes that's not a bad thing. Your deck seemed to rely on patience to win, so those big cards played in your favour!
