And to that point… I don’t “hate when people talk to me”. I hate the high chance that someone will take their fury at their own obliviousness out on me like if I engage them. Like I’m the one that made them not pay attention to what’s happening in the world. Argue with your distractions, not me.

I don’t think it’s that “people are generally stupid.” I think it’s that people are generally oblivious to how the world works. Then when they become “blivious” they become irate at what can only be blamed on their own lack of attention. Thus why the war on attention matters…

Just finished Gilmore Girls A Year in The Life and I think the only people that didn’t like it are people too young to realize that it takes a lifetime to get your shit together… in career, money, relationship, and self awareness. Rory, Lorelai, and Emily’s arc each made perfect sense.
