Typically the fourth Sunday before Christmas Day. Some have started adding the last two weeks of the season after Pentecost - tying Advent more closely to Lent.

The lectionary readings of those weeks are generally apocalyptic anyway, so Advent Wreath aside it’s an easy shift.

I had heard that the modern, plastic clerical collar became a feature for military chaplains who needed something for the uniform that wouldn’t interfere with gas masks.

I’ve actually never been bored with a martial character.

That said - I think wizards have the most fun. And a party with two diametrically opposed personality/school wizards can be a lot of fun. Especially if they’re rivals/reluctant allies who aren’t above bickering and pranking one another.
