Denmark beat Canada in the World Cup quarters in icehockey last night. “Huge upset” is an understatement.
There are roughly 20 rinks in Denmark in total. Canada has more than 8000. In fact there are prob more rinks in Canada, than male players - all ages - in Denmark!

The american embassy in Copenhagen applied for three extra parking spaces. This costs an admin fee. The embassy then added that the money cannot be used to promote DEI. Basically telling a foreign council what they can and cannot do with their money. Application rejected. Next one had the req. gone.

The biggest modern con is politicians convincing people that their lives are harder because of immigrants. Instead of the increasing number of billionaires & wealth concentration at the top. Politics too often about protecting the billionaires instead of normal people.

Was very concerned in the beginning of the week, that Starmer was going to get embarrassed in the Whitehouse asking for US backstop in Ukraine. He got away with being ignored. Glad Zelenskyi stood his ground today. Might not be clever, but at least he stood up to Trump. Hope others will be inspired…
