Jenn felt lost. Like thrown into the deep sea, surrounded by all the hints and still being unable to add one and one together.

Pygmalion, a sculptor living in Cyprus, creating his own desires in form of a statue, made of ivory alabaster. Looking so real, that he fell in love with her, wanting to be close and kiss his own creation. One day the festival day of Aphrodite came and Pygmalion wished that his one true love made of stone would become real, praying to Aphrodite and making offerings at her altar. Later that day Aphrodite had granted his wish and while he kissed the statue, she become real. This is the narrative poem found in the 10th book of Ovid's (43 BC - AD 17), a roman poet, Metamorphoses.

I did the #appletrend with Ilai and Gideon! Added some crawling maggots. Being a symbol of decay and the feeling of unease.

Intimacy - The soft exchange of tenderness, the cozy feeling of being close to someone, being held with the desire to become one body. Not the lust alone fills the hole in their hearts, it is the intimacy. Sealed with an expression of longing: The kiss. This piece is inspired by Gustav Klimts "The Kiss" (1908), an artwork I deeply adore! The combination of the two bodies becoming one spilled with golden elements, shapes and flowers just mesmerizes me. So I tried to captures its essence, while portraying it with my two original characters! And I felt so good drawing them, exploring the different shapes and colours, it felt good to just let myself flow. And of course adding some forget-me-nots (myosotis arvensis).

Illustrations out of my video on Instagram! The song "Судно (Борис Рыжий)" by Молчат Дома is an adaptation of the same-titled poem "Судно" ("Vessel" or "Bedpan").

It is a very gloomy song, with some eerie vibes - and I thought it would fit perfectly to my OC's.

Really like this trend so decided to give it a try for my original characters: My Lonely Scientist and Lost Patient.
