It really is wild that people are still on the "Yoru and Asa share feelings" train when the next arc after Yoru says that relies entirely on Yoru and Asa feeling seperate things from each other at the same time.

I like Asaden too, but I think the section of the fandom that are expecting Denji to be a knight-in-shining-armor for Asa are in for a rude awakening. I don't think Denji's plan to cause as much collateral damage as possible in order to save "Survivor's Guilt: the Character" is gonna go well.

Basically every scene in CSM where the protag solves a fight has the explanation either immediately before or after they do the thing (perpetual motion machine, leg chainsaw, chaining reze in ocean, power of light, makima's sense of smell, etc). Not 5+ chapters before they do the thing.

Even if you were to ignore all thematic aspects, Denji's plan for a new world being a good thing that solves his problems just wouldn't be good from a storytelling perspective. If the story was gonna be solved by this, then it would be more of a surprise, it wouldn't be taking this many chapters.

As a longtime believer that Denji was going to use Pochita's erasure to do some evil shit, this chapter is everything I ever wanted.

It should be also pointed out that Denji's current goal is presumably to eat a bunch of the devil "corpses" of Yoru's allies to erase concepts and create his new world. And if this theory is correct it means there's nothing Yoru can do to stop him from doing that.

I feel like its probably instinctual. Though I remember having a far out theory in the past that Asa's convenient memory loss about her first meeting with Death was Nayuta's doing, and that all the birds in Part 2 were under Nayuta's control

Death is missing too currently, but I personally think Nayuta's return and Death's return will be very close together indeed.

Yes! This exactly. Nayuta returning wouldn't ruin the tragedy, it *is* the tragedy.

It just feels very pointed that while what Yoru says seems to be a narrative promise that when the Control Devil shows up it will be as a new incarnation, that's not exactly what its saying. Nayuta can come back in to the story while still not being the same Nayuta that Denji knew before.

We already know that at least part of Death's plan was inspired by Fami saying "you should get eaten by Chainsaw Man", and she sent her second-in-command into Pochita's stomach before she even showed herself to him.

I feel like thats a bit hasty. "Thing that seemed like it wasn't part of the plan turns out to actually be the plan all along" is like, *the* classic twist for when the audience isn't told of the plan. Death wasn't ok with being turned into a weapon but we never see her reaction to being eaten

Yoru's biggest fear is being forgotten and her goal is to find her loved ones. Would sure be a shame if she found her children weren't the same as she once knew them and that they don't remember her anymore.

He's driving an axe into somebody, and as they are screaming, he's justifying it by saying that they are actually completely fine with him doing this because he's enjoying it. There doesn't seem to be any limit to the behaviour that this mindset can justify.
